Welcome to Mahjong Sisterhood! I'm Oleta Salyards, founder of Mahjong Sisterhood, and I'm thrilled to celebrate the bonds of sisterhood with you. My love for sisterhood began early—with my biological sister and childhood friends—and deepened in college as a Pi Beta Phi and VP of Panhellenic Membership. Those years taught me the transformative power of women supporting women, and the friendships I formed then continue to sustain me through life's highs and lows.

After graduation, I moved to a new city and found myself searching for that same sense of belonging and mentorship. Over the years, I've discovered sisterhood in unexpected places—through work colleagues, church communities, school connections, and shared hobbies. When I began learning mahjong with my neighbors, something clicked. I watched how this beautiful game naturally fostered the kind of deep connections I'd been seeking. Yes, we compete fiercely at the table, but what truly matters is the laughter, support, and genuine relationships we've built tile by tile.
